Robots do not get tired. They do not lose focus. They do not have bad days.
This makes them terrifying and incredibly useful in rehabilitation.
Robotic rehab systems can deliver thousands of perfectly consistent repetitions. They can measure force, angle, speed, and micro-variation with brutal honesty. No human can match that precision or endurance.
But rehabilitation is not manufacturing. Patients are not parts on an assembly line.
Human therapists bring intuition, empathy, improvisation, and trust. They know when to push and when to pause. They read fear before it becomes resistance.
The future is not robots replacing therapists. It is therapists who refuse to work with robots becoming obsolete.
The real winners are hybrid systems: machines that handle precision and load, humans who handle strategy and belief.
The showdown is fake. Collaboration is inevitable.
